Overview & Operating Identity
Welcome to The Gamers Lodge (accessible via https://www.thegamerslodge.games/). These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "Participant," "Player," or "Captain") and The Gamers Lodge("we," "us," or "our").
The Gamers Lodge is an active competitive gaming brand and esports platform operating in Nigeria. The Gamers Lodge operates as a brand identity initiative and is not currently incorporated as a Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) registered corporate entity. All operational terms herein apply to all services, user accounts, team functionality, and tournament events conducted under The Gamers Lodge name.
The platform provides user accounts, gamer profiles, team management, tournament registration, Paystack payment processing, and tournament bracket administration. The Gamers Lodge is strictly a competitive gaming platform and esports event hub; it is not a commercial marketplace, course platform, or digital product store.
Eligibility & Age Criteria (13+ Participation Model)
Account registration and tournament participation are available to individuals aged 13 years and older. Participants under 13 years of age are strictly ineligible to create accounts or register.
Participation & Authority Tiers:
Eligible to create accounts, manage teams, register for events, enter into financial transactions, and make tournament payments independently.
Eligible to participate with parent/guardian consent AND tournament registration payment handled by an adult (18+).
Strictly ineligible to create accounts, join teams, or participate in tournaments.
Mandatory Conditions for Minor Participants (Ages 13–17):
- Guardian Awareness & Consent:The minor's parent or legal guardian must be aware of their participation and have given necessary consent.
- Financial Decision Authority: Minors aged 13–17 may not independently make financial decisions to register or pay tournament entry fees. Registration payments involving a minor must be made by an adult.
Acceptable Adult Payment Arrangements for Minors:
The minor's parent or legal guardian may complete the tournament entry fee payment on the minor's behalf.
An adult team leader or squad representative aged 18 or older may register and pay for the team, including any minor squad members.
Legal Distinction: Payment by an adult team representative on behalf of a squad does notautomatically establish legal guardianship over minor squad members. The minor's parent or legal guardian remains solely responsible for providing parental participation consent.
User Accounts, Profiles & Credentials
To access team management, tournament registration, and participant dashboards, users must create an authenticated account using a valid email address and password.
Users must provide accurate email addresses and truthful profile details (display name, Call of Duty: Mobile ID, date of birth, contact details).
Users are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and for all activities occurring under their account.
Accounts are non-transferable. Sharing account access, playing on another user's account, or impersonating competitors is strictly prohibited.
Users must notify support immediately at contact@thegamerslodge.com upon suspecting security breaches.
Team Creation & Roster Functionality
Registered users may create esports teams, manage squad details (team name, tag, description, logo), generate team join codes, and invite teammates.
Team Roles & Captain Responsibilities:
- Team Captain (
CAPTAIN): Creates the team, manages roster joins/removals, initiates tournament registrations, handles entry fee payments, and may transfer captain ownership to another member. - Members & Substitutes (
MEMBER/SUBSTITUTE): Join teams via join code and participate in registered squad lobbies. - Roster Accuracy: Captains must ensure all squad members meet age criteria, possess valid CODM IDs, and satisfy parental consent requirements where applicable.
Tournament Registration & Verification
Team captains or authorized adult representatives may register eligible teams for active tournaments. Registrations record squad snapshots, reserved slot timers, and consent verifications.
Initiating a registration form or completing a payment transaction does not automatically guarantee tournament entry. Registration is considered successful only after payment is verified and the platform validates/records the registration status as CONFIRMED.
Payments & External Verification
Where tournament registration requires an entry fee, payments are collected by The Gamers Lodge for event administration and prize pool funding. Transactions are processed through integrated payment provider Paystack.
Payment Architecture & Credential Isolation
The Gamers Lodge does not collect, process, or store debit/credit card numbers, CVVs, PINs, or banking passwords on our servers. Transactions are executed directly on Paystack's secure payment infrastructure. The Gamers Lodge maintains transaction reference IDs, payment status (INITIALIZED, PENDING, SUCCESSFUL, FAILED, ABANDONED, REFUNDED, RECONCILIATION_REQUIRED), entry fee amounts, currency, payer IDs, and Paystack response data.
Payment Reconciliation & Technical Failures
In situations where a payment successfully processes on Paystack but registration recording encounters a technical system error (RECONCILIATION_REQUIRED or FLAGGED_FOR_REVIEW):
RECONCILIATION PROCEDURE:
The platform uses transaction reference details and audit logs to investigate. Technical failure after successful charge does not create an automatic immediate refund; our primary objective is to reconcile transaction records and secure the team's tournament slot.
Manually verifying payment receipt and confirming the team's tournament slot in match lobbies.
Processing a full refund if tournament lobby capacity has been filled or the slot cannot be assigned.
Refund Policy Reference & Exclusions
All matters regarding tournament entry fee refunds, cancellation eligibility, and payment disputes are strictly governed by our dedicated Refund Policy.
General Refund Exclusions:
Refunds are not available simply because a player or squad voluntarily withdraws, changes their mind, fails to show up on match day, or is disqualified. Disqualification is a competitive penalty resulting from rule violations or cheating and does not create a refund entitlement.
Event-Level Refund Conditions:
Refunds are generally available when the tournament itself is officially cancelled, does not take place, or where technical payment reconciliation requires returning fees as set forth in the Refund Policy.

Tournament Rules & Operational Requirements
Registered participants must comply with event rules, check-in deadlines, match schedules, lobby codes, substitute player rules, and directions issued by tournament marshals.
Battle Fury Championship & 4-Player Squads
The featured tournament on the platform is the Battle Fury Championship, played in Call of Duty: Mobile Battle Royale mode using a 4-Player Squad format. Squad members must individually satisfy 13+ age criteria and roster rules.
Leaderboard Results & Prize Distribution
The platform records and publicly publishes leaderboard results following match completion. Result data includes:
Fair Play & Anti-Cheating Policy
The Gamers Lodge maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding cheating, hacks, emulators (where prohibited), glitch exploitation, match-fixing, collusion, account sharing, or toxic harassment.
Violations & Disqualification Mechanics
Where rule violations occur, administrators may issue warnings, point deductions, match forfeits, or immediate disqualification. Disqualification does not entitle participants to entry fee refunds.
Account Suspension & Termination Policy
The Gamers Lodge reserves the right to suspend (isSuspended = true) or permanently terminate user accounts for severe violations, including:
- Repeated or severe cheating, hacks, or anti-cheat breaches in matches.
- Payment fraud, unauthorized chargebacks, or transaction abuse.
- Account sharing, false player credentials, or user impersonation.
- Severe harassment, hate speech, or abuse directed toward players or staff.
- Deliberate platform abuse, security threats, or material breaches of these Terms.
Operational Modifications & Schedule Adjustments
Publisher server outages, game patches, or emergency circumstances may require schedule adjustments. Notice will be issued via website announcements and community channels.
Community Channel Conduct
Respectful conduct is required across Discord, WhatsApp, and social channels. Harassment, spam, or disruption will result in channel bans and potential account suspension.
Intellectual Property & Trademark Rights
Site assets, code, and logos belong to The Gamers Lodge. Call of Duty and Call of Duty: Mobile trademarks belong to Activision Publishing, Inc. The Gamers Lodge claims no ownership over third-party IP.
Third-Party Platforms & Service Disclaimer
Links to external platforms (Instagram, Discord, WhatsApp, Paystack) are governed by their respective terms. TGL does not control third-party services.
Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
Platform services are provided on an "as is" basis. Liability for indirect damages or external outages is disclaimed to the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, preserving non-waivable statutory rights.
Indemnification
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Gamers Lodge against losses arising from unlawful conduct, cheating, or material breaches of these Terms.
